Landscape

The characteristic dike structure of western Brabant was a major source of inspiration in the landscaping of Nieuw Prinsenland. The cluster is surrounded by grass-covered, earthen ramparts varying in height. This blends with the dikes that characterize the the existing environment. The ramparts are maintained naturally by grazing sheep. The Derriekreek, which flows through the centre of the project area, is designed as an ecological corridor.
